2016 Sauvignon Blanc "Sunninghill"
From our single acre of Sauvignon Blanc in the midst of our idyllic eastern-most “Lost Orchard” vineyard area. Crushed by foot before pressing, barrel fermented with wild native yeasts in stainless steel and used oak barrels, no malolactic fermentation, aged sur lies. We make this wine exactly the way we like it and are embarrassed to admit we drink most of it ourselves. 100% Sauvignon Blanc; 136 cases made; closed with Saranex-lined screw caps.

Winemaker Notes
2016 was the first vintage I foot stomped the Sauvignon Blanc before whole-cluster pressing. I love the results! The wine has aromas of citrus, sesame and elderflowers. On the palate, it is crisp with a light phenolic backbone added to the minerality. It is long and nuanced with flavors ranging from white peach to bitter almond.
