2015 Cabernet Sauvignon "Los Ricos Vineyard"
The tiny Los Ricos Vineyard is situated at approximately 600 feet of elevation at the southwestern corner of the property, just east of the eastern boundary of the St. Helena appellation. These hillside vines produce low yields of small, loose clusters with small berries which result in wines with intense flavor intensity and aromatic nuance. For many years, the Los Ricos fruit was a key element in our Reserve blend. When our vineyard designated Brothers Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon replaced the Reserve as our first wine, it opened the door to our also bottling Los Ricos as an unblended vineyard designate. In 2015 we harvested 1,925 pounds of fruit which produced 732 bottles. Tasting from barrel, Antonio Galloni called the '15 Los Ricos "... a vivid, extravagantly beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon."
